How to build a Profile from your details.
A profile is a set of details you’ve picked out of My Details. It’s how you’d hand someone your information without handing over all of it. You’ll be able to share profiles soon via the upcoming Contacts feature.
You already have one. Setup creates a profile labeled Personal and puts your display name on it.
Create a profile
- Open Profiles from the Account menu.
- Select the plus button.
- Give the profile a label.
- Select the details you want on it.
- Select Save Changes.
Change what a profile shows
- Open the profile.
- Select Edit Profile.
- Select the details you want to include, and clear the ones you don’t.
- Select Save Changes.
A profile can only use details that are already in My Details. If something you want isn’t listed, add it there first, then come back.
Delete a profile
Open the profile, select Delete Profile, then confirm.
Deleting a profile doesn’t delete the details on it. Those stay in My Details, and any other profile using them keeps working.
